RYA Start Racing
We run our start racing course between April and November. The course is open to ages 16+ and is designed to give the confidence, skills and knowledge to take part in club racing in good conditions.

Assumed Knowledge
This course is ideal for people who have completed their RYA Level 3 or had their skills assessed by a club instructor.
Syllabus
The course will be taught with a ratio of 6 students to 1 instructor in single handed boats and covers the following:
All the skills required to start club racing, including basic start sequences and timing; improved tacking and gybing, using the 5 essentials to best effect and having a basic understanding of the racing rules.

Certification
RYA Start Racing certificate which equals to the ability to take part in club racing in good conditions.
