RYA Level 2 Sailing Basic Skills
We run our Level 2 courses between April and October. Will get everyone out on the water building on their skills learnt during their beginner's course. These are open to everyone aged 16+, with plenty of opportunities to get in control of their boats while having a great time. We will be working towards RYA Level 2 of the adult sailing scheme, which is a further step to a fulfilling lifetime sailing. They RYA Level 2 is a minimum requirement to hire a club boat.

Assumed Knowledge
This course is ideal for people who have completed their RYA Level 1 or had their skills assessed by a club instructor.
Syllabus
The course will be taught with a ratio of 6 students to 1 instructor in single handed boats and covers the following:
Level 2 - Build your confidence and develop your skills. By the end of this course you'll be a competent sailor in light winds. we will cover rigging, launching and building confidence sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge.

Beginners will be aiming for their RYA Level 2 which equals able to sail confidently on all points of sail and make decisions in good conditions.
