RYA Seamanship Skills
We run our seamanship skills course between April and October, and is open to ages 16+. The aim of this course is to increase the self-reliance and decision-making of the sailor, by spending time developing your boat handling and manoeuvring skills in a seamanlike manner.

Assumed Knowledge
This course is ideal for people who have completed their RYA Level 3 or had their skills assessed by a club instructor.
Syllabus
The course will be taught with a ratio of 6 students to 1 instructor in single handed boats and covers the following:
Launching and recovering the boat in different circumstances. Stopping, reducing sail, recovering a man overboard, picking up a mooring and anchoring.

Certification
We will be aiming for RYA Seamanship Skills which equals to being able to handle a dinghy in a range of situations afloat.
