Another interesting TARS race in blustery mainly Northeasterly winds! At the start, the fleet split. One boat, Argento, kept to the lee side whereas the remainder went to the windward side of the Bay. Knowledge was king and Argento made use of the Taff river flow and was at least a leg ahead at the end of lap 1. Meanwhile, the rest of the fleet was interfering with each other's wind on the downwind leg.
Unfortunately, for the remaining three laps the wind backed sufficiently to negate this benefit, but Argento held her lead on the water but was beaten into 3rd place on corrected time by Twinfinity and Billie-Anne. There was a surfeit of fenders on show during the race that seemed to take its toll on Blackjack after surviving the dreaded weed on the way to the start line.
The results of yesterday's race and the Autumn Series after 2 races are in the blog file below.
