A tragedy for those with an interest in traditional boats and boat building. This is all that remains of Underfall Yard in the Hotwells district of Bristol after a devastating fire last weekend. Underfall Yard has been crucial to the operation and maintenance of Bristol's Floating Harbour, which dates back to the early 1800s. The yard is home to maritime businesses involved in boatbuilding, marine engineering, metal working and training. A sad loss.
A magnificent 10 boats came out to play on Thursday and to ensure that it was a traditional TARS event there was some light rain with threats of heavier showers! I missed it again, roll on next Thursday. Congratulation to Koco in taking race honours and chasing Billie-Anne in the overall placing. The results of the series so far are below.
