The RYA is thrilled to announce that it has partnered with Inside Inclusion to host an equality, diversity and Inclusion workshop, which has been specifically tailored for club and organisation committee and board members. The session will be led by Chris Gibbons the director of Inside Inclusion who has over 15 years’ experience helping businesses to embed diversity, equality, inclusion and anti-discrimination in their work. This interactive and practical session will give committees and boards the opportunity to explore:
• Back to basics: what we mean by equality, diversity and inclusion in sport
• The benefits of a diverse and inclusive culture across boating
• Discrimination and its impact
• The building blocks of an inclusive club
• What you can do next
This 90-minute session has been scheduled for the 24th of June from 7pm. We would encourage all committee and board members to join us as we develop our own understanding of the roles and responsibilities that members play in ensuring that all boating is inclusive and welcoming to all.
