We own Rival Star, a Rival 41AC we have had since 1999, having joined the club circa 2009. Rival Star is currently under going a refit, with a new engine being installed in the summer. We have cruised fairly widely in her, from short trips to the Scillies each year through to a UK circumnavigation (2018) and jaunts down the bay of Biscay to Audierne, Vanne and Santander. With a new engine, new electronics, a rewire and interior refurb (she’s going from 12 berths to a more modest 6), we are hoping to pop back up to Arran and other isles where the seas are light and the whisky dark, for the final years of our stewardship. Intention is to remain based from CBYC now and start to get to know more fellow club members.
