Welcome to CBYC
You will receive a warm welcome at CBYC who are hosting the Inland National Championship and the Welsh National Championship, supported by West Country Boat Repairs, on the weekend of 16th and 17th October 2021.
The results for the Welsh National Championship will be extracted from those competing for the Inland National Championship.
The notice of race and the sailing instructions can be found below.
Entries
The entry form can be found here
We hope to run 7 races over the weekend weather dependant, with a 10.45 am briefing and 11.30 am start and the aim of four races on Saturday and a 10.30 am start with the aim of 3 races on Sunday, followed by the prize giving.
Catering
Breakfast rolls will be available from 9.30 am on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday night we will have a 2 course meal (main and dessert) at 6.30 pm - a menu will follow to those who have entered and pre ordering will be necessary. The meal will be followed by free live entertainment from 7.30 pm until late - Elvis will be in the building so bring your dancing shoes. The bar is always open between for drinks, lunches, light snacks etc and rolls can be purchased in the morning before we race.
Arrivals
Upon arrival at the club it would be appreciated if your boat could be placed in its allotted space and your vehicle removed to the overflow parking area outside the main club gates - there is limited parking on site, needed to service a large marina.
You can arrive on Friday night and people will be at the club until around 9 ish. For later arrivals, the gate will be locked but if you call Charles Felgate on 07918651 620 access can be arranged.
Accommodation and Camping
Overnight accommodation in Cardiff is plentiful and there are a wide variety of options available to suit every taste and budget - too numerous to mention here.
Overnight camping is no longer allowed at the club as the grassed area is now occupied by a marquee. However there is a campsite close to the centre of Cardiff - details can be found here:
Self sufficient campervans are able to use the overflow car park without charge but access into the club facilities is restricted overnight. The overflow car park is not suited to tents as the ground is rather stony!
Prize Giving
Prizes will be awarded after racing on Sunday afternoon and the opportunity is being taken to award the 2000 Class Association prizes for the year as well. There are multitude of sponsor prizes in addition to the championship prizes, so we would encourage all to attend.
We are all looking forward to seeing the 2000 fleet in Cardiff.
