CBYC Keelboat Academies

Our keelboat academies are great opportunities to take advantage of the RS21s in the Summer evenings. We will be running 2 types of academies; Youth and Women's. The Youth academy is designed for sailors under 18 to learn how to sail onboard a keelboat. The Women's academy is open for ages 14+ at any ability and will be run by our team of female instructors.

Assumed Knowledge 

The academies are designed for sailors who wish to improve their keelboat sailing skills.

Program aims

The aims of the programs is to develop skills needed for sailing onboard a keelboat. 

Age

Youth: Under 18

Women: 14+

Duration

Launching at 6:00 PM and returning at 8:00PM

Youth RYA Powerboat Level 2

A great introduction to driving a powerboat, the course will introduce and improve your powerboat handling techniques.

When our youth sailors have completed the improvers course, we will invite them to join our youth clubs that run on Saturdays year-round and some Wednesday Evenings.
