Fasttrack Learn to Keelboat
Want to kickstart your sailing? The five day Fasttrack Learn to Keelboat course will give you a fun introduction to the world of sailing. We run our Keelboat Courses year round. We aim to get everyone out on the water and enjoy their first time sailing. These are open to everyone aged 16+, with plenty of opportunities to get in control of the boat while having a great time. We will be working towards RYA Level 1 and RYA Level 2 of the Keelboat scheme, which is a great start to fulfilling lifetime sailing. These courses are an excellent opportunity to get out on the water and get lots of sailing while having a great time sailing bigger boats and gaining valuable qualifications.

This course is ideal for beginners and requires no prior learning.
Syllabus
The course will be taught with a ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor in a single keelboat and covers the following:
Level 1 - An introduction to sailing keelboats for complete beginners, covering everything you need to know to get afloat under supervision we will teach you how to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering
Level 2 - Rigging, leaving the shore and building confidence and improved sailing in all directions, including essential safety knowledge

Certification
Beginners will be aiming for their RYA Level 1 which equals able to sail in light winds under supervision and the RYA Level 2 which equals the ablility to sail a keelboat confidently, on all points of sail, making decisions in good conditions.
