The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The minutes of the previous meeting were available and were taken as read.

Amendments to the minutes: An apology for the absence of Nick Sawyer.

The sailing secretary is to investigate 8 permanent racing marks to be provided in the Bay by the harbour authority.

The chairman is to investigate improved anchoring facilities on the workboat for the race officers.

It was unanimously decided by the committee that there would be no series weekend racing during July and August only a Tuesday night series.

These dates were agreed and will be published by David Cairncross

Colin Lyons will inform the committee of possible sponsorship.

Alternate weekends racing on Saturdays and Sundays apart from the first week.

Friday, 23^rd June - Race to Watermouth

Friday, 28^th July. - Race to Bristol, return Saturday 29^th July.

David Cairncross to arrange the race officer duties for the forthcoming programme.

Kevin Rolfe, Nick Sawyer and Jonathan Crofts Davies offered to organise social events for the season.

Engraved glasses will be presented to winners.

Marine Scene vouchers to be purchased as prizes for pursuit races.

All monies to be administered by the office.

Sponsors are to be confirmed.

Nick Sawyer asked for suggestions so that he could compile a programme.

Paul Simmes is in the process of organising these.

Kevin Rolfe will discuss the situation with Barry Metcalfe.

Syd Thomas reminded everyone that rating certificates were due.

The secretary asked if future meetings could begin at 7:30pm. This was agreed.

Penarth Yacht Club-v- CBYC Pintle match race date to be discussed again as the original date 2^nd and 3 rd of September clashes with a dinghy event that both clubs,

are involved with. Consult with Iwan Basten.
