Visitors by road should exit at Junction 33 on the M4 motorway follow the signs for the docks then exit the Slip Road at the junction for Penarth keeping in the left hand lane, turn left towards the ASDA supermarket. At the next set of traffic lights turn left, at the mini-roundabout turn left, at the next set of traffic lights turn right, follow the road round to the left until you come to the security gate. After passing the security gate, beware the speed humps, turn left and follow the service road (20mph speed limit) until you come to the Yacht Club gate. If the gate is not open please press the access button, at the right hand side of the gate, to talk to the staff who will let you in.
| From a position between Ranie and South Cardiff Buoys, make for the Outer Wrach Buoy, then follow the buoyed channel to the Barrage lock. The Cardiff Bay Barrage infrastructure is complete. At present the Bay is generally impounded, but is drained from time to time. As you leave the locks, the cubhouse is visable dead ahead, the visitor pontoon is on the seaward side of "A" Pontoon and is the first pontoon you encounter. |  |  |
