| Here are some Updates on forthcoming Social Events, First of all, the "James Bond" Casino night, turned into a really enjoyable evening. The room looked amazing, with black & white floating balloons, red roses on all tables and many Prizes, which incidentally were all won by the ladies, if you were not there, you really missed out. Nov 10th is another round of "Brain of The Bay" quiz night. Why not form a team, your "Section" may well need you. Nov 17th, is the visit of "Alan Diamond" a multy-talented "Comedy Vocalist" this guy is really funny, and you will not be disappointed with this class act. I am in USA on business and to ensure you all have a great night out, the club is putting this on FREE---YES FREE. Have a great night out, food will be available. Nov 24th, another round of "Brain of The Bay", get yourselves down for some fun and really good company, everyone is welcome. Food available, see you there!! Dec 8th, this is a big day for MEMBERS children, we are holding a super "Children's Xmas Party" for 10yrs and under, if it is a success, we will extend it next year. The "Party" will start at 3pm sharp and finish at 6pm, and will include party food, presents for the boys and girls, we hope to have "Father Xmas" to make an appearance. Top children's entertainer Mr T Ricks, will entertain your children with "Magic" and "Face Painting" and who knows what else? His CV is very impressive with many TV appearances and lots of praise from TOP corporate companies. Parents, register your child by the end of November, ring the office now on 02920 666627, don't let your child be disappointed. After all its FREE FREE FREE!! Dec 8th,Wednesday at 8pm, this is a real BIG night out, we have acquired one of WalesTOP, Male Voice Choirs, direct from LLandaff Cathedral, where they welcome Cardiff's Twin City of "NANTES". They will entertain you with not only Christmas Carols, but songs from their extensive repertoire, and we will toast your "Xmas" Hot mince pies and Hot Gluvine, WOW what a night out, be early for this one and yes its FREE FREE FREE!! Dec 31st, New Years Eve, this is the BIG night out, this will be a real "EXTRAVAGANZA" of entertainment, a "SUPERB" male vocalist with a voice to remember, SAM CASH, this guy entertained us on New Years Eve 2005 and he is back following many requests. Also on the "BILL" will be "Waxworks" a first class Duo, singing 60s 70s & 80s music and lots more, if they dont get your feet tapping NOTHING will, add to this "balloons", "Blowers" "Party Pops" "Streamers" "Part Hats", impromptu "Spot Prizes" and a first class "Buffet", put it all together and you will have a really memorable "NEW YEARS EVE", there is only one thing to say "Keep an eye out for the tickets" BOOK EARLY AND WE WILL SEE YOU THERE. |

| These will be a regular feature of Saturday nights. Teams will enter as a "section", for example, "Angling" "Cruisers" Dinghy Parents"" "Power Boats", the list goes on. Funny thing is when talking to people about this quiz, they all seem to feel thier section will win it.The most confident being "Yachtsmen", I feel they could be in for a shock. Points will be awarded to the winning teams on the night, and a prize awarded, at the end of the series in March, the winning section will receive a Cup or Shield this will be engraved "Brain of the Bay" and displayed, until the next series Fancy your chances? come and show us what you can do. We have the services of an outside Quizmaster for the whole series. Dont let your section down, come on lets have some fun. |

| Lots of work has gone on over recent weeks in organising Saturday night social activities on a regular basis, by regular I mean EVERY Saturday from October 1st. In order to please as many as possible, I have tried to mix it up, with something out of the ordinary from time to time. The following dates are already booked and confirmed; Oct 6th Paul Levent This guy is an amazing comedian/ventriloquist/singer and has worked at many top Uk venues, we are very fortunate to have booked him for our club.His act is extremely professional and very entertaining.You will love him, and his voice. Tickets £4 in advance (available from the office or behind the bar) Caterers will be in attendance. Oct 13th "007" James Bond Casino Night. This will be a big night, The Quay Lounge will have 4 Casino Tables, complete with Croupiers and a "007" backdrop scene, and decorated to compliment the theme of James Bond. Each player will be given an amount of "007" money, play like a professional and the player with the most cash "chips" at the end of the evening will win the prize. Compliment the theme and add to the atmosphere, turn up just as Bond would, Black Tie, look good, feel good. Ladies, how about dressing for the occasion, go on enjoy yourself, nights like this do not come up that often.Alternatively you will be very welcome in smart casual. I have already been asked for over 35 tickets, (not yet printed) Dont miss this one, Tickets £10 per ticket Incuding a Buffet. (available from the office or behind the bar) Nov 17th Alan Diamond Alan is a multy-talented Vocalist, he will entertain you from start to finish. He is very popular around the clubs of Wales and across the Bridge, and we are looking forward to his visit to CBYC. In case you had not noticed, entertainment at our club has been thin on the ground over the last 3/4 years, and this is a brave attempt by the club to change that situation and give you an opportunity to come to your club and enjoy good company, good food and have a drink with friends in a first class location. I know "you can not win them all" there will be hundreds of satisfied and happy members, there will also be a few who will moan. All I ask is you give it a try, enter into the spirit of what your COM is trying to do, otherwise the alternativeis back to the wilderness of "nothing" lets give a go, I will do my best, you give support.See you there!! |

| It is now all systems go for our Monthly Lottery Draw, tickets are in print and we anticipate starting on August 1st next. Tickets will cost £1, and will be available from the office or from behind the bar,as a single ticket or in a book of 5. It will work on the basis that 90% of the cash generated from ticket sales will be paid out in "CASH" prizes, 10% to cover the printing costs and administration. We will start with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and we could add further prizes as the cash pot amount increases, I anticipate it will take 3/4 months to build up, which could mean a really handy size pot by Christmas.
