Entry Form for Dinghies for CBYC 2006 Regatta

Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June, 2006

1. Racing will take place on the dates and times as indicated on the Notice of Race.

2. Racing will take place under the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2005 – 2008), the prescription of the R.Y.A., the Notice of Race, Class Rules and the Dinghy Regatta Sailing Instructions and Entry Form

3. CONDITION OF ENTRY

The safety of a dinghy and her entire management including insurance shall be the owner / competitor (and parent / guardian if under 16 years of age) racing the dinghy must ensure that the dinghy & crew are adequate to face conditions that may arise in the course of the race. Neither the establishment of these sailing instructions nor the inspection of the dinghy under these conditions in any limits or reduces the absolute responsibility of the owner / competitor for the crew, dinghy and the management thereof. The race organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner / competitor, skipper or crew, as a result of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner / competitor warrants the suitability of the dinghy for the race or races.

4. Each dinghy, or the helmsman who sails her, shall be covered by third party insurance to a minimum of £2,000,000.00

5. Nothing done by the organisers can reduce the responsibility of the boat nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury, however it may have occurred, as a result of the boat taking part in the Regatta. The organisers encompass everyone helping to run the Regatta, including the organising authority, the race committee, the race officer, patrol boats and beach masters. The provision of safety boats does not relieve the boat of its responsibilities.

I agree to be bound by the R.R.S. and all other rules that govern the CBYC Regatta, June, 2006. In particular the Notice of Race and confirm that I agree to its provisions and that my boat will conform to its requirements throughout the event.

I declare that I hold a valid and current boat insurance policy to the minimum value of £2,000,000.00 which covers me for Third Party claims whilst racing and that I will continue to do so during the duration of the Regatta.
