1.0 THE EVENT
The
organising authority is the joint dinghy racing committee of Cardiff Bay Yacht
Club and Cardiff Yacht Club.

3.0 RULES & SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 The series will be governed by
the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) of the ISAF (2009-2012), this Notice of Race
and the Sailing Instructions.
3.2 Changes to the
Racing Rules of Sailing will appear in full in the sailing instructions.
3.3 The sailing
instructions will be published on the Cardiff Bay Yacht Club website.
4.0 ADVERTISING
4.1 If a series is sponsored then boats shall carry the
sponsor’s logo stickers or flags as provided.
5.0 ELIGIBILITY
5.1 Racing is for monohull
and multi-hull dinghies having an overall length of less than 21 feet.
5.2 Racing in the asymmetric series is for monohull dinghies
having an asymmetric spinnaker.
5.3 For any series, if the number of boats in a particular
class or PY Handicap range is sufficient to provide more enjoyable racing by
splitting the boats into more than one fleet start, the race committee may
choose to do so. This will be agreed in
consultation with the fleet representatives and communicated to sailors by the
safety boat before racing starts.
6.0 ENTRIES
6.1
Entries will be accepted at any time before or during a series.
6.2
Entry fees are as follows;
Annual entry fee to cover all series: £30
Entry for one series: £10
Entry fee for a single race: £2
Junior entry (Helm aged under 18 years on
6.3
Payment may be made by cheque, payable to ‘Cardiff Bay Yacht Club’,
Credit Card or Cash direct to the Club Office by post, phone or in person.
7.0 PRIZES
10.1 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place prizes will we awarded in each series.
Additional fleet prizes may be awarded as the race committee sees fit.
