ID fed back to the com about the meeting at PYC. There was interest shown by PYC for events to promote the RS200 boat. A round the island race and possibly a 24 hour race using the club Omegas was discussed. Another meeting between all 3 clubs is set for 11th Nov. Also the possibility of contacting RS for a RS 200 demo session.

4) Treasurers Report
Noted
Current balance is £940.63
Approx Outgoings for the year £400 for fuel
£100 for safety equip
£ 100 prizes
£ 100 engraving of cups
The current income from race fees is £ 600 this is down £400 at present. This is due to the dinghy com not being firm enough in collecting race fees.
The section needs to make £1000 income. JG felt that this alone could come from race fees. But there needed to be a better system of collecting them.
HP suggested an alternative costing for those who only raced on Sundays £20 and those who only raced on Wednesdays £ 20 and a joint fee for both. £30. JG cast some doubts as to whether this would raise sufficient funds. AP to investigate using the current number of sailors who race.
Agreed
No publishing of race results for non payment of race fees, not paid to be placed next to name on results sheet. Non payers names to be put on the notice board.
The dinghy section cannot afford to subsidise the Laying Up Supper this year. It was felt by all present that £14 for a three course meal was very reasonable.
