Chair report

·         Idris missed general AGM due to back problems. Dinghy report presented by Colin parsonsl (sailing sec)

·         Pontoons may be purchased by COM which may resurrect floating compound concept.

·         Correspondence from WYA: meeting proposals see Idris email.

·         Agreed to invite Ben Smith (WYA rep) to visit dinghy com.

·         Correspondence from Rod Little about dinghy compound.

·         Space allocated within dinghy compound

·         Safety boat courses are free to club members. Ring office to book


Treasurer’s report

·         18 sets of race fees paid so far


Flying 15 / enterprise open: 21-22 May

·         Entry fee £25: anticipated income £500. I.e. 20 boats

·         Cost : afternoon tea £100
        Absorb fuel costs as no club racing that Sunday
        Prizes: £200 overall max. Glassware
                 + 100 mugs. Mugs to be given to all competitors.

·         JG on safety boat for Saturday (21) RIB preferred.

·         Iris to provide SB crew



Use it or lose it policy

·         Andrew Hall: appeal failed as minimal likelihood of future use. Idris to write.

·         Ken Gale: Appeal successful due to need for repairs and unlogged sails.

·         Chris Burridge: appeal successful due to unlogged sails.

·         Stuart Lewis: appeal successful due to unlogged sails.

·         David Hulston: appeal successful due to unlogged sails.

·         Chris  Morgan: appeal failed due insufficient number of sails.

OOD setting courses

·         Course setting to be completed on time: This is expected of all OODs.

·         Use of walkie-talkies for OOD, safety boat: To be pursued in light of few licensed VHF users.
