The Harbour Authority requires a Chief Sailing Officer for the general management and development of the sailing programme at Llanishen Sailing Centre and Cardiff Bay. The successful applicant must possess RYA Senior Instructor qualification and RYA Safety Boat qualification.

The applicant must have at least one season’s experience of working at a Chief Instructor level or five years at Senior Instructor at an RYA establishment.

It is essential that the applicant has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to teach at all RYA levels across a range of ages, including experience of teaching students with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities. A physical ability to work in difficult environmental conditions as well as the ability to work weekends and bank holidays is essential.
